Happy Birthday Podcast!!

It’s the podcast anniversary! A year ago this week, we embarked on a journey. And let me tell you how grateful I am that you are here on this adventure with me!

To celebrate, we are going behind the scenes on the favourite episodes from this past year. Here they are: (Click on the episode names to listen to them!)

Your Blueprint for Overcoming Overwhelm and Managing Your Practice

This was the first ever episode on the podcast. I remember recording this. (Literally, I remember the shirt I was wearing). I was super duper nervous because I wanted to bring you something valuable.

This episode shows you how you can turn your every day practice sessions into a roadmap for your goals. I also include a download so that you can create your own road map.

This episode was so much fun to make, and it was the start of this wonderful journey.

Need To Practice More Strategically? Start here

This episode is part of a 3-part series. I know that we all struggle with practicing strategically, so this episode has 3 resources to help you get more effectiveness in your practice.

It bring me so much joy to provide you with effective resources, especially when you tell me how it helped me. That’s so inspiring!

Practice efficiency, finding opportunities, and leading youth orchestras with Maestro Jacob Joyce

This episode was the first interview episode. I had been doing the podcast for a few months, but I felt like it needed a twist. I wanted to invite guests on the podcast.

The first person I asked was Maestro Jacob Joyce, the Associate Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony. And I was so nervous when asking him! (Literally, I remember sending that email and then happy-dancing, cause I knew that this was the first step to something amazing).

This conversation is so incredibly valuable. Seriously, I still listen to it because I found his thoughts so insightful.

This was a big step for us with the podcast.

Mental Practice: The What, Why, and How

Mental practice was basically one of the best things that have happened to my practice. And when I put a poll on Instagram and learned that a lot of you don’t do mental practice, or aren’t sure what it is, I knew I had to talk about it!

This episode is all about how I mental practice. It is different for everyone, but this can give you some ideas to start.

I invite you to start mental practicing. It’s so good.

3 Things I Learned From Working With A Top Symphony Player

This episode is a reflection. I have moved to the UK to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and because of this big change, I have been reflecting on working with a top symphony player in the States. This episode is all about that.

If you are curious about working with a symphony player, give it a listen.

Finally, Happy Birthday Podcast!! Thank you for coming along.

Here’s to another amazing year.

All my best,

Eleanor
