Read this if you are feeling unmotivated

Hey there.

Not feeling motivated is normal. It is completely okay. Every musician has felt this way to some degree. (seriously, ask them!)

Getting out of this rut isn’t always easy. So here are a few things that can help.

Also, if you feel you need to take a break, read this.

1. The Motivational Round-up [click here]

This is a round up full of inspiring things. From Instagram reels to fun tid-bits. It’s full of inspiration!

2. Practice with me! [click here]

I was thinking about ways to help you stay motivated, and I had an idea. On my YouTube channel, there are videos where you can practice with me in real time.

Just start the video, and practice alongside me! It’s perfect for staying focused and keeping each other accountable.

3. Go to the symphony

There is nothing like going to see the symphony for some motivation. I recently went to the Royal Scottish National Orchestra’s concerts of Mahler 2 and Sibelius 7. Both times, I was so inspired.

I invite you to go see your local symphony. Make a big deal out of it, or maybe keep it casual. It is so inspiring!

I hope this is helpful for you to get motivated. Happy practicing!

All my best,

Eleanor
